Current Hydro has reframed hydropower as a climate technology to accelerate America’s energy transition to a clean, thriving economy.

In 2016, Current Hydro and Bard College were awarded a $1M grant from NYSERDA to solve the riddle of making microhydro deployments a significant DER asset in New York.

We’ve learned a lot in the last couple of years about hydro, stakeholders, regulations, and the climate crisis. We are now in process of building $1B of micro, small, and large hydro to help an economically-thriving America do its part to keep our beloved Earth no more than 1.5 C above the pre-industrial baseline temperatures.
